we lost molly this week. she hadn’t seemed herself for a while now and i had been steeling myself, being vigilant for signs that she was suffering more than she was letting on, bracing myself that soon i may have to make that dreadful decision about when to end her life for her. but in the end she made the decision irrefutable. we believe she had a stroke. all of a sudden she was completely blind. she was so confused and seemed barely able to stand without terrible pain. we all miss her so dearly; it is just so hard to believe she is no longer with us.
Oh Kristi, I’m so very sorry you lost Molly. I know she was a huge part of your family. ((((((((hugs))))))) I hope you and the family find some solace in the fact that you enjoyed a long time with her.
My condolences, Kristi. It is so hard to lose a four-legged friend.
Oh, that is so sad! I’m so sorry! Losing a pet is really hard. I hope you can all feel at peace with her departure from this life.

thanks so very much, ladies. it has been really difficult. we are hanging in there, and now the girls are pestering us about getting a puppy. i don’t think i will be ready for that for a while though…
